Satchel- A cowboy rides to town on his horse on Friday, he stays three days and leaves on Friday. He wants teachers to be more hands on with students work.

Etzell- Be successful, don't be lazy, focus on what you want to do. Don't let negative thoughts bring you down.

We Eat Social Media For Breakfast

           Do you think that eating social media for breakfast is good or bad for us people in 2017. I think it is really dumb why people use social media just to talk and spend there day on there phone when they can just hang out and talk person to person. The other side is that using social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat are good because you can text friends or family that aren't close to you. The bad part is that it can also effect our school education by not doing your homework and studying for tests. It's also dumb why people would take pictures of there food and then post it on there Facebook, Snapchat, and etc. We also learned that by logging into Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, we are making them earn money by us people using it either when you're using or not. Personally, I don't use Facebook, Twitter, and etc. anymore, but I only use messenger just to talk to my friends about homework and study for tests. Last thing is that I mostly use my phone for playing games. That's the first thing I use because when I am done doing my work like right now, I play because I already finished my work and also because it's fun.

Fahrenheit 451 Essay

        Option #1- Describe the difference in Ray Bradbury's tone with regard to Clarisse and Beatty. Support your analysis with examples of Bradbury's diction and detail's.

        In the book that we read, Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, books were illegal for the people. On the other hand, some people liked reading and having books to read. While firefighters are people that have to put out the fire, in the book they actually start the fire. The main character is Montag, he is a firefighter. Montag meets Clarisse who is always curious about everything and always ask questions to him. Montag isn't the only one in the station where he works at. His boss/captain of the station named Beatty and hates book a lot and doesn't like reading books at it. Beatty is one scary guy and a hater. The author, Ray Bradbury shows us who is a protagonist(Clarisse) and the antagonist(Beatty) which means who is good and bad.

          Clarisse is a girl who teaches Montag that books are enjoyable to read and that all books aren't that boring. She also says that he should change from using technology to reading books and not let technology take over him like it did to the other people. She gave Montag a book and told him to read it. When Montag started reading the book, he found out that inside the book were words that changed him little by little. When she was missing, Montag was the only person who actually cared and worried about her. Montag's wife didn't even noticed about him when he wasn't there with her because technology was controlling her. Now, Clarisse impacted Montag by him not reading books to loving books.

          Beatty is known a good guy to the people, but to Montag, he isn't a good guy anymore. Beatty, as the captain of the firefighter station, he can control everyone in there. Beatty has notice that Montag changed a lot and thinking that he loves reading books. Beatty and Montag have a good relationship at there job and that is how he is seeing Montag changing. If Beatty finds out that Montag is reading book, he can make the entire country hunt him down and kill him for reading. In the end, Beatty ends up dead which makes Montag relief that he isn't chasing him down.

         These two characters are the one that can and did change Montag. Clarisse is the good guy because she actually changed Montag by books are good thing to read and also enjoyable. Beatty is the bad guy because he basically controlled Montag and the whole station to hate and be angry. I think that these two characters are basically important characters because If Clarisse wasn't there to help Montag, he would still be the same and not change. If Beatty wasn't there, the book wouldn't be the same and be that interesting and we won't tell who is the bad guy. So all in all, I think that both character are the one that Montag get to decide who he is going to be. The same person, or be a new person.

The Chase Is On

1.) The hound attacked Montag because he killed Beatty.
2.) Montag defended himself by using the flamethrower.
3.) Beatty said if there is a problem, burn it.
4.) Montag went to the gas station's bathroom to clean himself up.
5.) He almost got killed by a group of kids.

Montag Kills

Montag killed Beatty because he threaten to trace down the walkie talkie down to Faber.

What I Read Today In Class

I left off on page 37 which it was starting to get interesting when we had to leave class.

Today's Assignment Paragraph

My first impression of this love song is that it was alright, which means it was okay. Now I understand some of the words that it is trying to tell us the audience. In the other hand, I think this song is actually a poem to me because how the formation of the words are placed and also the words seem to rhyme more. So I think this poem was okay because at first I was confused, but now I understand it more then before.

What I Learned Today

What we did today in class was that only 11 students came today in class and that we talked about different topics together as a class. We talked about the protest and how it's good and stupid. It was also an excuse for the students not to come to school which means that there parents brought them here to lose there education.

Well, so far what we have learn was that, Nick is a nice person and everyone likes him. Like what his dad said,"Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone, just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantage that you've had." After reading the book further, we move on to Chicago that in the morning, all the cars in the left side is painted black. When that happens, Tom, Daisy, Miss Baker, and Frank sit, eat, and talk. Tom out of no where starts being a racist and keeps on talking. Daisy says that he is a rose and then Tom speaks. He says that he isn't a rose.

All of a sudden, she talked like a normal person and hesitated.

 When the author was writing the book, he was writing for the people.

EPI Graph- is the quote that is given to you in the beginning of he story.

He took good advice from his dad.

"Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone, just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantage that you've had." That is what his dad told him before criticizing.

Most of the people trust him and tell him about their story life.

King Midas was very rich and whatever he touched, it turned into gold.

"Two old friends whom I scarcely knew at all." Shouldn't he know his old friend very well.

What Is Remix?

What is remix? That is what people say to each other. When I researched remix in google, remix is mix (something) again or when a different version of a musical recording produced by remixing. My opinion of what remix means is that when you combine two or more music and remix it so it can become a better song. Remix is pervasive making music and culture for the upcoming generation. Another example of remix is that to use some of the same materials and allowing the song to reach the audience. There is a lot of reasons why remix is important to all of the people so we can create anything we like to do. The last definitions of remix I liked was that remix also means that it alters a song for artistic purposes.

Today's Notes

Irony- the complete opposite of what you expect.

Genre- is a category of created work that is unique and time of place.

Industrialism is important

Modern- is something new to us people in the past and that it was very confusing

EVERYTHING IS A REMIX

Remix- is just using the original music or something else and editing it

You don't need skills, expensive tools, and etc. ,but anyone can do a remix.

A light bulb is like representing our creativity or getting and idea

Domain Knowledge- In order to speak a new a language, you need to speak it like you know how to speak that language.

Transformation- You can transform anything you want with music, etc.

MUSIC AS LITERATURE

  We can consider music to be literature because it involves with him explaining his life and his surroundings. A novel is a fictitious prose narrative of book length, typically representing character and action with some degree of realism. A poem is a piece of writing that partakes of the nature both speech and song. Rap is a type of popular music which words are recited rapidly and rhythmically over.
